About Ernesto

What once kept us safe can quietly become limiting.

My work supports people in updating subconscious patterns so change can be embodied in a natural way.

Why "Living Light"

Our DNA is the foundation of life.
It carries what we inherit, what we experience, and how we adapt.

We are shaped by what was passed down through our ancestors, by trauma and joy, by love and loss, by our closest relationships—our partners, our families, even our pets.  All of it leaves an imprint on how we feel, how we respond, and how we move through the world.

Over time, some of the internal programs we’ve been living by begin to quietly dim our light.
Many of them once served a purpose.  Others were never truly ours to begin with.

As we release old stories and outdated patterns, something shifts.  We feel lighter.  More present.  More ourselves.

What’s changing is not who we are—but how the nervous system has learned to organize around the past.

Beneath all our stories—beneath roles, identities, and conditioning, we are Living Light.

The more we shed what no longer serves us, the brighter that light naturally shines by removing what was never meant to stay.

Professional Training & Approach

My interest in how people change began in my early twenties, driven by a deep curiosity about how humans heal, grow, and create meaning in their lives.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where I studied depth psychology. My master’s thesis explored the therapeutic effects of altered states of consciousness—a foundation that continues to inform my work today.

For more than 25 years, I’ve supported individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, addiction, and major life transitions.  Over time, something became clear:

Insight alone isn’t enough.

Deep change happens when the subconscious, nervous system, and body are included in the process.

Despite years of clinical training and experience, it wasn’t until I personally worked with hypnotherapy that my understanding of change fundamentally shifted.

I experienced a level of inner stability, safety, and grounded confidence that insight alone had never produced.  My system stopped reacting to life as if it were still under threat.  I felt solid—internally steady in a way that changed how I related to myself, others, and the challenges in front of me.

That experience reshaped how I understand transformation.

It’s also what ultimately led me to train as a hypnotherapist.

Hypnotherapy Certification

In addition to my clinical background, I completed Mindvalley’s Hypnotherapy Certification Program with Paul McKenna, which integrates research-based methods for subconscious change, emotional regulation, and trauma-informed care.

Today, my work blends:

  • Clinical experience
  • Depth psychology
  • Nervous-system regulation
  • And hypnotherapy as a tool for updating the internal patterns that shape daily life

This approach supports change that is felt, not forced.
